I'm from Quebec, a French-speaking province of Canada. I grew up in a small city but quickly got to
Montreal, where the fast life gives as much as it takes. During the 10 years I studied engineering (technical, bachelor and master), I also attended the traveling school of life. I hitchhiked Canada and a few States, and flew to China and later Central America. Through the encounters and experiences, I feel I've grown to be a solid, fruit-giving tree.
The most disturbing adventures were the richest, the most rewarding. Abroad, I learned to
rethink my own cultural perception and to appreciate others'. With my family in Quebec I learned to listen to my
intuition and follow my dearest
dreams. On the road I developed and maintained a lot of projects and passions.

I especially love
nature,
self-sufficient systems and
simplicity. My studies of intelligence revealed the extreme importance of knowing how
to feel,
to appreciate and of practicing
focus on the time being in order to attain happiness. I would rather be poor and free than rich but concerned and busy. To maintain a pleasant balance of
freedom and survival, I try to combine an
ecological and alternative way of living with a practical and technical
cooperation with neighboring human beings. On the practical side, I participate in urban, rural and sometimes virtual
communities. On the technical side, I develop and share skills related to
open and free softwares,
algorithmics and
linguistics.

Occasionally, I am a modern
vagabond (also known as nomadic geek). Using a network of friends (also sometimes
hospitality networks) or my salutary
hammock, I serve as well as possible the people and places who accommodate me for a time. When I can, I return the favor to travelers and nomads alike.
Dumpster diving of a certain food overproduction or the
edible plants and fruits of nature and of the city are often enough to feed me. So from time to time I wander with my laptop, some clothes, my hammock and my ideas, searching for a friend, a pleasant location or a project to build. Since some time, I would rather travel by
bicycle,
hitchhiking and
sailboat than by other more polluting means of transportation. I hope to earn the little money I need for a living from interesting and useful
open projects. When possible, I like to
barter.
Maybe someday my heart will discover a place which will inspire me enough to keep me there, in spite of the curiosity I carry. I admit, being a little
autarchist, having an eye on areas full of life : the countryside. Inspired by the story of our ancestors and in love with my friends and family, I recently decided to stay and live in Quebec.
